Manually defining Local Directory entries in CUCME
The following configuration can be used to configured manual entries in your Local Directory in Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express:
LAB(config-telephony)# directory ?
entry Define new directory entry
first-name-first first name is first in ephone-dn name field
last-name-first last name is first in ephone-dn name field
LAB(config-telephony)# directory first-name-first
LAB(config-telephony)# directory entry ?
<1-100> Directory entry tag clear all directory entries
LAB(config-telephony)# directory entry 1 ?
WORD A sequence of digits representing dir. number
LAB(config-telephony)# directory entry 1 123 ?
name Define directory name
LAB(config-telephony)# directory entry 1 123 name ?
LINE A string – representing directory name (max length: 24 chars)
LAB(config-telephony)# directory entry 1 123 name Conference Room1
Voice Gateway (SCCP Resources)
The following configuration is used to configure SCCP hardware conference resources on your voice gateways:

Cisco Unity – Direct transfer to users Voicemail
If your users would like the functionality of being able to send calls to a Voicemail box without ringing the phone, follow the config below:
1. Create a Voicemail Profile with mask 6xxx (assuming 4 digit extensions all starting with a 6)
2. Create a CTI port with extn *6XXX
3. Use the VM profile created in Step 1.
4. Set the CFA to VM.
Now, your users should be able to dial * and reach another users VM box directly.
How to do a factory reset on a 7912
Hold down * + 0 + 4th Softkey
Enter 322873738# to reset phone to factory default
Reboot phone
may have to enter * + 0 +4th softkey again to return phone to normal
How to do a factory reset on a 7940 / 7960
Method 1:
1) Unplug the phone
2) Plug the phone back in while holding the # key
The phone will soon display “Reset key sequence detected”
3) After several lights flash press the following keys in order:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 * 0 #
4) The phone will then ask you if you want to save the network configurations:
Save network cfg? 1=yes 2=no
5) The phone will soon display “Factory reset initiated” and will continue
through the boot up process.
If that process fails to work for some reason there is a second method.
Method 2:
Complete these steps:
Choose the main Date/Time window.
Press **# in order to unlock the Network Configuration on the phone.
Press Settings.
The Network Configuration lock symbol must be unlocked. If not, exit to the main window and press ** # again.
Press 3 on the keypad (or scroll down) for Network Configuration.
Press 33 on the keypad (or scroll down) to Erase Configuration.
Press the Yes softkey.
Press the Save softkey.
The phone must now be reset.
